Marieke Neervoort specialises in trademarks, designs, trade names, copyright, misleading and comparative advertising, unfair trade practices and promotional actions, as well as in media law.
Marieke represents many national and international clients in trademark and trade name infringement matters and infringements on copyrights and design rights. Marieke seeks to find optimum solutions for her clients not only by advising on the legal aspects but also by factoring in potential practical and commercial consequences. She is very experienced in drafting and negotiating licences, production agreements, coexistence agreements and other agreements. She successfully assisted several clients in litigation concerning intellectual property infringements and advertising.
Before joining SOLV in 2008, Marieke worked as an IP lawyer at Baker & McKenzie in Amsterdam for more than seven years.
Marieke is a member of several professional organisations and frequently gives lectures and workshops.
Marieke studied law at Leiden University and Université Panthéon-Assas Paris II in Paris.
